KEEP IT
MOVING

September 12, 2007

When reality bites, just bite back!

No matter how happy we are, we all eventually come to the realization that the time for attaining certain dreams, such as becoming an astronaut or a movie star, has indeed run out. Friends and family may still offer you words of encouragement and assurances of "maybe next year," but the truth is that time does run out and the low hum you hear is the fat lady singing over some of your dreams. A few folks make miracles happen during their later years, but most of us must find a way to live happily ever after with who we are right now!

You owe it to yourself to move past this melancholy moment. When the angst of a dashed dream weighs heavy, push through the urge to feel incomplete. Instead, consider creating or joining an organized group to discover and ignite new passions! Of course, the queen of "living your best life," Ms. Oprah Winfrey, has provided a seven-step road map to building a support structure of kindred spirits who will encourage and empower you. Whether you gather a cabal of best friends or complete strangers, everyone in that group must have a positive focus in order to create the kind of kinetic energy that will propel you to the next lofty level of your life!

It's never too late!
